presented 9 different concert programs in 16 concerts. OBK has
participated in 3 choral competitions. This summer it was London
International A Cappella Choral Competition, where the choir received the
«runner up» position. OBK has performed works of more than 60 different

century till present day.
Ole Bull
(1810-1880) was a famous and sought-after violinist. He was not
afraid to take artistic risk and was by many considered to be ahead of his
time. Even though he is not associated with choral music, Ole Bull was,
and still is, a central figure on the Norwegian music scene and his life and
career has put its mark on the arts scene in Bergen and Norway. Ole Bull is
an inspiration for us in our artistic approach.
Jon Flydal Blichfeldt
Jon is the artistic director and conductor of Ole Bull Kammerkor. He has
studied cello playing and choral conducting at the Grieg Academy in
Bergen and at the University of Tromsø. He has been working as a choral
conductor in Bergen for almost 20 years. Central in his carreer has been
leading the male student choir of the Bergen University, Mannskoret Arme
Riddere for 8 years, and the mixed choir Vokalensemblet Skrik for 10 years. At
the present he is also the conductor of Bergen Mannskor and Osterøykoret.
Simen Bredesen
Simen is studying classical singing at the Grieg Academy. Amongst his
teachers, we find Solveig Kringlebotn, Marit Tøndel Bodsberg and Harald
Bjørkøy. For two years he has been a singer of the Norwegian Youth Choir,
and is also the conductor of the student male choir Laudes
